Mo Gutierrez Serna (Mónica) has a PhD in Fine Arts specializing in Painting from the Complutense University of Madrid. He has illustrated more than 40 books for Spanish publishers, Asia and Latin America. His work has been exhibited on numerous occasions and his work has been recognized with important national and international Illustration awards, including the 100 Outstanding Picturebook at the Frankfurt Book Fair in 2018, the Junceda International Illustration Award in Barcelona in 2016, the 2nd National Best Edited Books Award, Ministry of Culture of Spain in 2014 or the 4th CJ Picture Book Awards Korea in 2011.
