Diego Bianchi (known as Bianki), was born in 1963 in La Plata-Argentina. He is a noted illustrator, graphic artist, teacher, designer and editor. His books published in Argentina have been published in more than fifteen countries and translated into several languages: Korean, English, French, German, Italian, Catalan, Basque and Portuguese. His creative approach seeks a return to analogue techniques, and includes the use of collages, painted objects and mixed techniques with recycled materials. He obtained numerous national and international awards, including: the Bologna Ragazzi Awards for Disability (Italy 2016), the New Horizont (Bologna Ragazzi Awards, Italy 2015) and Finalist of the Prix Jeunesse International (Prix Jeunesse Fundation, Germany 2018), for the animated series project for Television: “With the head in the clouds”, inspired by his multi-award-winning book of the same name. In parallel to his extensive career as an author, in 2002 he founded the labelSmall editor, distinguished as "The best publisher in Latin America and the Caribbean" at the Bologna Children's Book Fair, winning the BOP Bologna Prize in 2015.
He currently contributes to the world of publishing, writing and illustrating new stories.
