A flor de piel: pensando con el cuerpo

De Teresa Puig
Illustrated by Laura Borras

In a world where noises, images, smells and other sensations stimulate us everywhere, this book offers a poetic moment to meditate on our perceptions. Since we are born, we know our surroundings with what our body feels and the interactions we have with other people or objects, with space or time. It is a walk between worlds, that of the child, that of the adult, that of the old man. It is a journey through the fabric formed by bodies, minds, the real and the dreamed.

REVIEW

After years studying and promoting intellectual processes, we realized how forgotten we had emotions. Now we come from dedicating years of attention, study and visibility to emotion. It seems that time comes to the body. We need to do the same work with sensations, to explore them, make them evident, and put words to them. Text and images direct the gaze of the child and the adult to concrete and everyday sensations in order to be able to immerse themselves in them in detail and, at the same time, broad and sufficiently open. This book offers a poetic moment to meditate on our perceptions. It is a walk between worlds, that of the child, that of the adult, that of the old man. It is a journey through the tissue formed by bodies, minds, the real and the dreamed. And the reader is a partner. This is an invitation to recover, together, the point of view of the body.
