REVIEWS

Darwin a journey to the end of the world ”invites us to embark on an exciting and entertaining journey with Captain Fitz Roy and naturalist Charles Darwin. With a fluid and dynamic prose we are transferred to the world of 1800, to an English society that refuses to accept the theory of the evolution of species and to South America with its original cultures that suffer the encounter with Europe. In brief pages, beautifully illustrated, and enriched with a map, they show Charles Darwin's voyage aboard the Beagle, with dates and places visited during the five years that his journey lasted. In this book the reader discovers the geography, flora and fauna of South America with scientific precision, historical vision and with a fresh sense of humor.

Isabel Salas, librarian at Colegio San Ignacio del Bosque.

Telling a story that connects with childhood in terms of the great curiosity and imagination of Charles Darwin, this beautiful little book manages, through its vivid story and beautiful illustrations, to transport us around the world with the English naturalist. As a young historian, I congratulate the authors and the publisher for building not only this particular title, but the entire "My Story" collection. In a discipline that, at times, seems to have forgotten its role in society, it is exercises like these that disseminate and enrich the work of the past. As a cousin of young children, and having read them Darwin's journey through a screen, in the midst of this pandemic, my congratulations only grow, for having achieved a story that excites, intrigues and excites young and old alike. Highly recommended!
