Olaya Sanfuentes Echeverria She has a BA in History from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, a Master of Arts from Georgetown University and a PhD in Art History from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. She works as a professor at the Institute of History of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, where she conducts research and teaching related to topics such as Material Culture and Latin American visual culture, as well as Cultural Heritage Studies and Public History. She has written books, book chapters, and articles, as well as being involved in various curatorial projects in museums in Chile.
Luisa Riverais a Chilean artist based in London. Her work focuses primarily on water-based paintings, through which she explores her interest in narratives and her connection with nature. In 2012, she received a Fulbright scholarship to pursue a Master's degree in Illustration at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD), in the United States. Since then, she has published numerous illustrated books, including classics such as One Hundred Years of Solitudey Love in the Time of Cholera, both works by Gabriel García Márquez. He has also produced works such as: Tales of love, madness and death, by Horacio Quiroga; BLUE, by Ruben Dario and Braids, by María Luisa Bombal. She is also the author of the book In that lighthousefor which she won a Colibrí Medal awarded by IBBY Chile in 2020. Her work has been highlighted by publications such as Latin American Ilustración, Creative Quarterly, the Diccionario de Ilustradores Iberoamericanos and 3x3: The Magazine of Contemporary Illustration. In parallel to her illustration work, Luisa exhibits her work and teaches illustration workshops regularly.
