Alicia para niñas y niños

De Lewis Carroll
Illustrated by Tania recio

This book written by Lewis Carroll is the adapted version of his book The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland. It was published in 1890, 25 years after the complete version. This classic story tells the adventure of Alice, a girl who falls through a hole into a surreal world, inhabited by curious human beings and talking animals. In this version, the narrator tells the story as if an adult were reading aloud, with questions and comments on the illustrations, made in this edition by Tania Recio, who accompanies the text giving it dynamism with modern and colorful graphics, reflecting the agility and rhythm of the story.

“At first, the burrow was tunnel-shaped and extended in a straight line. But suddenly the ground suddenly disappeared, Alicia couldn't hold on. And she began to fall down what looked like a well. It must have been a very deep well, or Alicia was falling very slowly, because while she was falling she had time to look closely at what was around her and wonder what was going to happen. She first looked down, to find out where she was going to land, but it was too dark and she couldn't see anything. Then she began to examine the walls of the well. They were covered with cabinets and shelves, and in some places there were engravings and maps hanging.”

I don't have better words to describe what it was like to make the illustrations. for Alicia, more than with this fragment of the book itself in its complete version. It was like falling slowly down a well full of shelves and cabinets that were full of possibilities and since it was going slowly I was able to savor it and choose exactly what I needed to create this wonderful universe of one of my books favorites.

I hope everyone enjoys it like I did when I made it, I'm happy with it. result and I know that I would not have achieved it without the help and support of Ana and Philippe, I am enormously grateful to them. In the end we were able to reach the rabbit.

Thank you Amanuta

Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, better known as Lewis Carroll, was born on January 27, 1832 in Guildford, Surrey, United Kingdom. He was an English mathematician, logician, photographer and writer. He wrote poetry and stories and in 1856 he wrote his first work under the pseudonym Lewis Carroll.

In 1857 he obtained a position as professor of mathematics at the University of Oxford. In 1862, on an excursion along the River Thames, Dodgson invented the plot of the play that would become his greatest success. One of the girls to whom he told the story was called Alice Liddell, and after the walk she asked him to write the story she had told them during the trip. After a while Dodgson gave him the manuscript, which was called Alice's Underground Adventures.

In 1865 the first edition of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, and in 1890 Lewis Carroll published a more simplified version, Alice for Girls and Boys.

Dodgeson also published Alice through the mirror, several poems and other works. Under his real name he published many articles and books on mathematical topics.
