Marcela Recabarren studied journalism at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. She worked for the magazine Paula and is the author of La Niña de la Calavera (2004), El Condor y la Pastora (2004), La Música de las Montaña (2005), El Niño y la Ballena (2005), all by Editorial Amanuta.

Rachel Echenique She is an illustrator and designer at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He has illustrated more than twenty books in various publishing houses such as Amanuta, Lom and Ekaré Sur. He has received important awards, such as being a member of the IBBY 2006 Honor List for La Niña de la Calavera -written by Marcela Recabarren- and the 2012 Colibrí Medal in the informative book category for El Alerce, Millennial Giant -written by Alicia Hoffmann-, both books published by Editorial Amanuta.
